Photographer | Mother | Wife | Professional Child Wrangler
Hey, I’m Courtney — a North Canterbury based photographer, wife, and proud mum of four beautiful (and slightly feral) children. My photography journey kicked off in 2012 after my first daughter was born. Somewhere between the sleepless nights and newborn snuggles, I fell in love with capturing those fleeting, perfectly imperfect family moments.
Fast forward a bit - in 2016 I completed my Diploma in Professional Photography and in 2021 I became an Accredited Photographer with the NZ Institute of Professional Photographers. I’ve since collected a few awards, a whole lot of experience, and a deep love for what I do.
I’ve always been a creative soul so it was no surprise when I picked up a camera and felt right at home. These days, when I’m not out photographing families, I’m wrangling my own crew, probably reheating my lunch for the third time, or volunteering for Heartfelt - one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever been part of.
Thanks for stopping by and considering me to capture your world. I promise I’ll bring the calm energy, gentle direction and maybe even a few bad jokes to help you feel right at home in front of the camera.
For me, photography is about so much more than taking pictures. It’s about telling your story, capturing the raw emotions, love, and connections that make your family unique. I aim to create images that go beyond the visual, they're meant to make you feel the moment, not just see it. Whether it’s the way you look at your children, a shared laugh, or the small, tender details that define your family, I’m here to document it all.
I understand how stressful planning a family session can be. That’s why I focus on making it a fun, relaxed experience where real, authentic moments can unfold naturally. My sessions feel more like spending time with a friend who happens to have a camera, easygoing, filled with laughter, and focused on capturing genuine love and connection.
